Knife mill is used for the preparation of samples of materials with hardness of less than 4 in the Mohs scale. They are designed for shredding fibrous and soft materials, such as plants, biomass, plastic waste, rubber (optional grinding with dry ice).
Depending on the desired performance of the grinder Testchem company proposes three solutions. Every of them can be equipped with high-speed steel or tungsten carbide knifes. We also offer the full range of sieves determining the final grain of the sample.
Knife grinders are intended for grinding and homogenization of biomass, and shredding soft and fibrous materials. These grinders are using the running through mechanism.

- The material is placed between rotating and fixed knives, mounted on the circumference of the cylindrical grinding chamber. The fragmented sample is passed to closed container through a sieve mounted in the lower part of the casing.
